Fab and Fit Maternity Wear

Posted by admin on Nov 11, 2011 in fashion, me, myself and i, shopping

Traditional and matronly maternity clothes are a thing of the past. Now, pregnant moms can be as fashionable as they used to be pre-pregnancy! There are even maternity clothes called transition which allows you to wear the outfit during your first trimester, upon giving birth, while breastfeeding and as a regular outfit when you’re finally back to your old size. Here’s one example while pregnant, breastfeeding and without the baby bump.

Imagine how much money you can save! I’ve hoarded items like these when I was pregnant and I’m happy to say that I can still wear some of them and I’m not back to my pre-pregnancy shape.

Posted by admin on Nov 9, 2011 in shopping

Someone wants to go to the Moonlit Bazaar so bad. However, my husband is out of town and my nanny is taking off so I have no choice but to stay in our house and just wonder what excellent finds I will be missing.

This weekend – 12NN-12MN at the Rockwell Tent

Girls Rock!

Posted by admin on Nov 8, 2011 in fashion, me, myself and i, shopping

We recently attended a rock star themed birthday party with my daughters. Some of my friends had a hard time deciding on what to wear but I was lucky to have several pieces that will work so I didn’t have to buy any. I just had my eldest wear her fluffy mini-skirt, tight black leggings, DM-type lace up brown boots and a jeweled purple with cropped sleeves. My youngest on the other hand wore her pink and brown leopard dress. I noticed that the mothers were wearing rock star outfits too. I was happy that none of them were over the top as some fashionable moms tend to do these days or worse, wear something like a fishnet body suit that I saw online. We could all agree that this kind of outfit is more suitable for adult parties for two (wink). Anyway, here are some really cute rock star outfits if ever you find yourself looking for one.

You can either buy these or just make one similar to them.

Not That Girl

Posted by admin on Nov 4, 2011 in me, myself and i

I’ve never received any Valentines flowers my whole life. Although I don’t want to receive any and would prefer chocolates and other gifts like handbags ;) , jewelry or something handmade, I am still surprised that no one has ever gotten me flowers. Ever! Not even suitors, ex-boyfriends and husband. I do envy my girlfriends who receive bouquet of flowers during anniversaries or birthdays. I admit it’s a great way to make someone else envy you har-har. But having said all that, I still say it would be a waste of money if it’s given to me. It’s a different story though if I am the one giving it as I love buying flowers for friends, colleagues and relatives.

Flowers To Remember

Posted by admin on Oct 23, 2011 in home, me, myself and i, shopping

I was so surprised to see how big my credit card bill was today. As it turned out, we spent a lot of money on flowers baskets during our family reunion last month. We decided to do baskets this year because what else can you give to old relatives who seem to have it all? Definitely not chocolates as they need to watch their diet. Which is why these flower arrangements were the perfect choice. The oldies were so happy to receive them and touched that the “kids” (they still see us that way) remembered them. Anyway, the flowers are lovely and definitely worth their price.

Glitters

Who knew a prom dress could look like this, ten years ago?

I was browsing through TJFormal Jovani prom dresses when I saw this piece. Now that’s one dress I would love to wear but I’m pretty sure my mother would hate. After all, she made the dress that I wore which was pretty stylish back then but looking at it right now, doesn’t really show any part of my body. Which is what I would probably do to my own daughter as well (*snickers*). But going back to the gown above, I really find it nice but perhaps a bit longer to make it more sophisticated and less trashy.

Grey’s Anatomy Season 8 OMG Moments

Posted by admin on Oct 5, 2011 in entertainment

I am addicted to Grey’s anatomy again! After watching a marathon of season 6 and 7, I now can’t sit still and wait until all the episodes have been aired. I prefer to watch TV Shows when the season is done so all the episodes are complete and there’s no need for me to wait for the next episode. However, I’ve gotten so hooked again that I can’t just wait for the whole season to finish anymore. I am glued to the Internet just so I can be updated on the latest epi. While waiting for episode 4, here’s a great post that I found from wetpaint.com.

TOP 5 OMG! Moments of GA Season 8, Epis 1 & 2
5. Meredith Grey, Resident Kidnapper
With sloppier writing, Meredith (Ellen Pompeo)’s kidnapping of Zola would have been as ludicrous as, say, a doctor resuscitating a deer in the parking lot. But our hearts went out to this embattled mother, desperate to hang on to the one remaining bright part of her life.

4. A sinking feeling
Even though the sinkhole storyline was no surprise for any avid Grey’s fan, there were still plenty of shockers associated with that gnarly gully. Like the size of the dang thing! Or Susanna having a whole freakin’ car fall on her. Or the fact that little Nicky could have died under the dirt had it not been for Alex (Justin Chambers)’s intuition. Hole-y crap!

3. So long, Zola
Parting isn’t sweet sorrow; it’s just full-on, unadulterated sorrow for Meredith and Derek (Patrick Dempsey), after watching Janet ride off into the sunset with baby Zola in tow. Why is keeping a baby such a struggle for Grey’s couples who want them, and not for the couples who don’t?

2. Epi fail
We suppose Alex got all the comeuppance he deserved by, uh, nearly dying in the ER. We think that more than makes up for his tattling on Meredith. A hit of epinephrine would just send anyone else into a frenzy for a bit, but because of Alex’s arrhythmia, he nearly kicked the bucket. If it weren’t for the quick work of the other docs, the world would have been down one lovable jerkface.

1. Richard’s recourse
We were wondering why the promo department at ABC would show previews of Richard (James Pickens Jr.) firing Meredith, which was shocking enough. But now we know: the real twist is that the chief effectively fired himself for the sake of Mer’s career, by deciding to take the blame. He really isn’t the bad guy in her story after all.

Low Reception

Posted by admin on Sep 5, 2011 in home, technology

The husband will not stop complaining about his phone’s network that I’ve started wondering if a wireless cellular booster could help. Unlike our friends and co-workers, we are not fans of changing mobile numbers any chance we can get. So rather than moving to another network, he’ll probably buy a new sim card and still keep his old number. Who knew who could be contacting him from the past? Seriously, a friend of ours managed to find a long lost friend – not via Facebook, I tell you, but because he hasn’t changed his number for the last 10 years. How cool is that? But I digress. We really need a signal booster not just for our mobiles but for our cable Internet too.

Surprise Gift

Posted by admin on Aug 28, 2011 in me, myself and i

Just found the perfect Trekking Poles that our team could purchase for our boss. He’s celebrating his 43rd birthday on December so the team decided to give him a middle-priced trekking pole. There are five of us so we can definitely afford a sturdy one. I’m positive that he’ll be so surprised and happy to receive it that I can’t wait to order it online.

On another note, I hope he’ll be as generous when it comes to giving us our Christmas bonuses. ;)
