Just finished my last task for the day, which is document scanning. Thank God, I was able to borrow a scanner from my mother-in-law since the one that my brother promised to lend me didn’t work out. I know I’d get a negative feedback if I didn’t finish this project that I bid on.
On a related note, I’m glad that all my designs projects are done. Whenever I finish a new design, I sigh happily and enjoy the hours until I hear back from the client. Usually, it lasts up to three days so I always get some time off to save up on creative juice.

Ever since my client decided to create and print all kinds of direct mail marketing materials, I can safely say that I have become an expert when it comes to getting the cheapest quote. I’m now “friends” with several customer agents from various companies and always have at least 10%-15% off from all my online purchases. It’s a good relationship because not only my client can benefit from the savings but I too, have plenty of options for other of my printing projects.
Now if only I can get discounts on graphics software, that would be more than awesome!

You probably won’t notice anything weird but if you’re getting paid thousands of dollars to do these movie posters, perfection is the key.

I’m looking for quotes for custom hats for my sister-in-law’s event next month. They are going to promote their latest product and asked me to get her detailed pricing so they can compare and choose the best package. I could consider this an additional cash for summer because I will be designing the logos as well. And you know it is for big pharmaceutical companies. Aside from unlimited budget, it will be a great opportunity for me to add their name on my list of clients. There’s now better way to enhance your reputation by having big names trust you.

I’m loving the designs of point of purchase displays from the creativedisplaysnow.com website. They inspire me a lot and would definitely make my job easier when I start on my project this January. I’m really thankful for the Internet especially Twitter because I learn so many things with just a couple of clicks. Of course, there are plenty of ways that we can get inspired – a simple walk in the neighborhood, a nice fabric from a store or an interesting shape from our coffee can start a barrage of ideas. However, for someone like me who spends all her time in front of the computer, the Internet is really my best friend.

I really need to get some seo services for my client. I can’t outsource it too my old colleagues anymore as they are all very busy with their full time jobs. I’ve posted the job on some forums but most of the applicants are either just learning the ropes or fresh out of college (totally have no experience and just trying their luck). Aside from SEO, I need to find myself an extra web designer so I can pass off some of the work that I couldn’t accept anymore. I don’t want to refuse the offers because most of them badly need help. The best thing I can do is talk to one or two of my colleagues and see what kind of setup we can work with.

Basing on this blog’s theme, you’ll see that I’m more the cluttered desk type. But after seeing these oh-so-clean workstations, I’m thinking of organizing mine. An organized workplace might do me a bit of good. When it’s hard to conceptualize, all I have to do is look at my immaculate work area and I bet inspiration will come. I hope!
