From wikipedia.org

The Chocolate Hills is an unusual geological formation in Bohol, Philippines.According to the latest accurate survey done, there are 1,776 hills spread over an area of more than 50 square kilometres (20 sq mi). They are covered in green grass that turns brown during the dry season, hence the name.

The Chocolate Hills are a famous tourist attraction of Bohol. It is featured in the provincial flag and seal to symbolize the abundance of natural attraction in the province.[2] It is in the Philippine Tourism Authority’s list of tourist destinations in the Philippines; it has been declared the country’s 3rd National Geological Monument and proposed for inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Most people who first see pictures of this landscape can hardly believe that these hills are not a man-made artifact. However, this idea is quickly abandoned, as the effort would surely surpass the construction of the pyramids in Egypt. Further:

There is no natural formation like them in the world.[5] From a distance, they look like half a ball grown out of the ground. The molehill-shaped and almost uniformly sized hills dot the landscape with green and brown.

Five Things I’d Like to Do Now That It’s Summer

Posted by admin on Apr 13, 2009 in travel

Lie down in a hammock while reading my favorite beach book.

A glass of PiƱa Colada or Margarita will be a bonus too.

Go on a road trip with my husband while listening to music from our past.

Stay in a hotel and turn on the aircon full blast. Turn off the lights and lie down all day watching DVDs

Look at the ocean and think of nothing.

Summer is here!

Posted by admin on Mar 18, 2009 in shopping, travel

I badly need a new swimsuit. Ever since I gained weight, most of my old suits don’t look good on my anymore. They still fit, but never on the right places. I’m not talking about string bikini here or thongs, just a decent sexy one piece or a comfortable two-piece will do. And of course, I need to buy myself one of these VS cover ups for lounging on the beach.

Even if my body is less than perfect, I’d still look fabulous in the photos.

Thinking of summer just makes me want to stop working. This urge to stop and rest is at its peak whenever I will glance at the window and see the sunlight passing through the blinds. What am I doing cooped up inside a dark room in front of the computer when the weather is so good? Answer – there are bills that need to be paid. When that’s done and there are still some cash left, then it’s the only time I can enjoy the beach.

Experience the Breeze

Posted by admin on Mar 17, 2009 in travel, web sites

A few hours after I made the post about Jamaica vacations, another friend of mine came across the Breezes.com web site and immediately sent me the link. She knows how I dream of visiting all the best beaches in the world and thought of sharing how cheap the packages are. The best accommodation, location-wise so far are the Ocho Rios hotels. Ocho Rios is the main cruise port to the Island and has everything for everyone. You can go into shopping (which we all love to do), stay close-to-paradise beaches or climb the world-famous Dunn’s River falls.

Breezes also offers Super inclusive Jamaica packages which basically means the best vacation value in the world. Well, that’s according to their website, of course. But if you ask me, it’s really one heck of a travel package because it really has everything that you need. From variety of dining options to unlimited premium drinks and cocktails, water activities and sports to day / night entertainment and most important of all, top quality and elegant rooms to ensure that you have the vacation of a lifetime.

If you’re planning for a vacation, you might want to consider checking out what Breezes.com has to offer. You’d be surprised that your dream vacation might just be within reach after all.

Jamaica, Ooh I wanna take ya

Posted by admin on Mar 17, 2009 in travel

My co-worker from the US just arrived last week to have her honeymoon here. I’ve spent hours researching local resorts for her so she will never regret her visit. However, she missed my email so they went ahead and booked on the first agency that they saw near their hotel. On our last correspondence, she and her husband were having the most amazing time. It’s really the company you keep that matters, you know. And speaking of honeymoon, if ever my husband and I can save enough cash for an out of the country trip, we’d love to have one of those caribbean resorts from Breezes.com. We are avid fans of the sun and based on the all inclusive vacation package that they offer, we are in for the travel of our dreams.

Of course, the budget-conscious side of me was curious to know if it’s possible for us to go there in the next few years. I was surprised to see that they offer affordable all inclusive caribbean vacations for their spring and summer specials. Some of them will even save you up to $600! The rooms, if booked separately aren’t that expensive at all. If we save up enough money, we can afford to spend at least six to seven days basking in the sun, staring at the blue Caribbean waters doing nothing else but living the dream.

Top of the World

Posted by admin on Mar 16, 2009 in travel

Ever since my friend told me how he spent the night in the mountains on his own, with his body tied to a tree so he will not fall, I’ve promised myself that I will try something as adventurous as that someday. That day has not come yet but I’m not  discouraged. I’ve been visiting this mountain forum to check out photos of other travelers and learn some tricks too. It’s from that forum where I read read about trekking in Nepal and how it is a never-ending outdoor adventure experience.

However, it was the mention of Himalayas that really inspired me.

Their stories on the struggle of man versus nature are just amazing and I wish that I can visit the place before I die. I also hope that by then, I’d be experienced enough in climbing mountains so I can afford to trek at least the smaller peaks.

This was the last boat trip scheduled for the day because a storm was coming and the waves are about to get wild.
