Life’s a Beach
My friend sent me a link to panama city hotel deals this morning. She said they are planning to say for five days there and even asked my help on what kind of suit she should buy. This after I just proclaimed that I have no budget to go on a trip this year. It’s her way of making my life miserable even if she lives on the other side of the planet. However, I recall doing something similar two years ago when she couldn’t even afford a cheap out-of-town trip because she just moved to a new flat. So I guess we’re even now. And to be honest, I do enjoy browsing through these travel websites. It’s a great motivation to save up for our next beach escapade.
Wordless Wednesday – Sail
You’re probably wondering why I always use beach photos for Wordless. It’s because I’ll never get tired of them.
Scenic Sunday – Chocolate Hills

From wikipedia.org
The Chocolate Hills is an unusual geological formation in Bohol, Philippines.According to the latest accurate survey done, there are 1,776 hills spread over an area of more than 50 square kilometres (20 sq mi). They are covered in green grass that turns brown during the dry season, hence the name.
The Chocolate Hills are a famous tourist attraction of Bohol. It is featured in the provincial flag and seal to symbolize the abundance of natural attraction in the province.[2] It is in the Philippine Tourism Authority’s list of tourist destinations in the Philippines; it has been declared the country’s 3rd National Geological Monument and proposed for inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Most people who first see pictures of this landscape can hardly believe that these hills are not a man-made artifact. However, this idea is quickly abandoned, as the effort would surely surpass the construction of the pyramids in Egypt. Further:
There is no natural formation like them in the world.[5] From a distance, they look like half a ball grown out of the ground. The molehill-shaped and almost uniformly sized hills dot the landscape with green and brown.
Five Things I’d Like to Do Now That It’s Summer
Lie down in a hammock while reading my favorite beach book.
A glass of PiƱa Colada or Margarita will be a bonus too.
Go on a road trip with my husband while listening to music from our past.
Stay in a hotel and turn on the aircon full blast. Turn off the lights and lie down all day watching DVDs
Look at the ocean and think of nothing.
Summer is here!
I badly need a new swimsuit. Ever since I gained weight, most of my old suits don’t look good on my anymore. They still fit, but never on the right places. I’m not talking about string bikini here or thongs, just a decent sexy one piece or a comfortable two-piece will do. And of course, I need to buy myself one of these VS cover ups for lounging on the beach.
Even if my body is less than perfect, I’d still look fabulous in the photos.
Thinking of summer just makes me want to stop working. This urge to stop and rest is at its peak whenever I will glance at the window and see the sunlight passing through the blinds. What am I doing cooped up inside a dark room in front of the computer when the weather is so good? Answer – there are bills that need to be paid. When that’s done and there are still some cash left, then it’s the only time I can enjoy the beach.
