Nothing can excite me the way a good online shopping deal can. The savings you can get from coupon codes and weekly sales are huge that you’d never want to shop anywhere else again. For my Christmas present, I was looking to upgrade my phone to any kind of Blackberry. And just my luck, I found plenty of Cellular Factory coupons from the Coupon Trunk website.
With so many options to choose from, I now have no idea what to get. I’ve always wanted a Nokia N97 but the Blackberry that I want is just much cheaper even after the discounts. I may have to test both phones this weekend at our local mall before deciding on anything. At least, my Cellular Factory coupons can guarantee that I’m getting the best deal whatever my choice will be.

Basing on this blog’s theme, you’ll see that I’m more the cluttered desk type. But after seeing these oh-so-clean workstations, I’m thinking of organizing mine. An organized workplace might do me a bit of good. When it’s hard to conceptualize, all I have to do is look at my immaculate work area and I bet inspiration will come. I hope!
Photos from this blog.

It’s amazing what you can find on the web. I came across these creative graphic manipulations and decided I would try to do something similar tonight. It’s been a while since I created a non-out-of-the-box graphics. What I love about these graphics is how surreal they are. My imagination goes wild just seeing them. If you’re about to design a website or write an article, browse through this collection first to keep those creative juices flowing.
You can see a longer list here.

My husband wants to look at gps systems and I was like, “what for?”. I love gadgets personally but never really cared if it has to do with cars/navigations. I’m sure it will be useful and all that but I really don’t see us needing one. A new camera however, is an entirely different story. I’m tired of carrying our DSLR everywhere so I’m looking to buy an extra digicam for myself. I’m just waiting for the LX3 to become a few thousands cheaper and I’ll definitely get one. Two of my online friends own an LX3 and they are both very happy with the quality of their photos.

I have a new want. Since I can’t afford a high end model of iMac just yet, I may be able to settle on this one.
Begs to Be Touched
Reach out and explore the Studio One 19’s 18.5″ display with optional multi-touch screen functionality on a choice of 4 color fabric trim options or Solid Pure White trim border
* Crystal clear 16:9 widescreen flat panel HD display
* User-friendly touch applications with optional multi-touch screen
* Powerful NVIDIA® graphics with up to an Intel® Quad-Core processor
* Optional wireless keyboard and mouse and optional built-in WiFi
As if $1000++ is that easy to come by! What I really like about here is that you can have four options for graphics card and the huge monitor. I just can imagine myself designing using it. I have this print project for cardboard displays and I’m having trouble scrolling up and down on my studio 17. I really need to buy an extra machine soon or say goodbye to my recently bought laptop so I can upgrade to a higher model. Still, I can’t imagine not having a portable even if I rarely bring it with me when we travel. Maybe if I can find a good deal for a desktop like the one above or *gasp* an iMac, I can have enough budget to buy a 9″ laptop.

I am loving twitter. In the past five days, I’ve learned so many things that I’m dying to try out on my new projects. It’s a huge world out there and I was a fool for not following as many people as I can for the past year. I’m still keeping my main twitter account private so I can discuss things there that are strictly for friends only. As for my public account, feel free to follow me at joytreyes.
Here’s one example of why I am loving twitter. A great tutorial for a web design layout created in Photoshop. Check it out, you could learn a thing or two and might be confident enough to start with your own website.

Wow, my Internet connection blows! Here I am waking up almost filled with enthusiasm to work only to find out that my connection is crawling. I already called my provider and was advised that there’s an ongoing maintenance in our area. So I guess I have no choice but to work on projects that won’t require heavy downloading and researching. I could get started in programming the insurance quotes for a new client while waiting for the technical guys to restore my Internet.
Good thing I’ve finished watching Gossip Girl Season 2 and Grey’s Anatomy Season 5 online so I don’t feel too bad about my poor DSL speed.

Competition is always tough in the IT industry what with technology being updated every year. So if you want to get ahead, consider getting certifications. QuickCert offers several programs that can help you get certified whether you’re looking for a COMPTIA, EC-Council, Cicso or Microsoft Certification. With their expert instructor-led training, self-study format with user controls, QuickCert have managed to replicate the classroom experience anywhere you are. The best thing of all aside from labs, exercises and practice exams is that QuickCert guarantees that they will get you certified.
I’m personally considering getting a certification on Web Development because there’s no better way to validate your skill sets the way a certification can. It will not only help you staying afloat with your current company but it could broaden your horizons when you decide to move to greener pastures.

I have two big projects that require hosting to be a part of the package. Their sites are going to be huge so I’m not sure if I should sign them up with my current hosting company. I checked top10webhosting.com and was surprised to see that almost all packages now have unlimited space, bandwidth and emails. They just vary in price and additional features. I haven’t tried any of the top 3 best hosts service but based on the ratings and reviews, I’d definitely go with the one that uses Cpanel. I’m sure I will be maintaining the sites as well even when I’m done with the project so it helps if I’m familiar with the control panel.
Top 10 Web Hosting helps a lot of consumers in deciding where they should host their websites. By comparing their top 10 hosts side by side, all you need to do is pick one that’s within your budget and offers the most number of add-ons. Not that you’d need all of them so be sure to read on the basics of web hosting before you purchase.

I always hear about SaaS or hosted software application from my co-workers but have no idea what it really means. A quick research online led me to phase2.com website, the creator of visual studio team foundation server. There I learned how you can save money by renting software application. Not only that, you can even cut costs on hardware purchases, support staff , security devices and administration. One of their service is called tfs (team foundation server) which is actually a source control. It enables a large team of developers, based on different locations, to be able to collaborate on a project without problems. This include codes passing unit and system tests, automatic generation of bugs, successful integration builds plus the usual project management features.
I read on microsoft crm host too and learned how it can improve the way you run your company. It provides full integration to sales, marketing and customer service in one centralized access point for all customer interactions. Using Microsoft CRM, you can organize and track all your leads, campaigns, deliverables, analyze and predict customer behaviors. And most important of all, you can be assured that all your business information will be protected with its pervasive security system.
By the way, PHASE 2 recently released their very own online savings calculator which demonstrates how much you can save if you use Saas (software as a service). Based from the results, you can have at least up to 80% savings which you can use on other investments for your company.
