Distraction

Posted by admin on Sep 12, 2010 in online life, shopping

I was searching what thermogenesis means but got distracted with this oh-so-beautiful bag from Mulberry. Who wants to read about metabolism and fat cells when you can oggle this beauty instead? I’ve been hearing about them from my online friends but it’s only now that I got a chance to actually look at it. I can’t afford it just yet but I could just see myself wearing it. I love how you can use it as a messengers bag or carry it in the crook of your arm.

Mulberry Alexa – Grape Soft Buffalo

I wouldn’t love it as much if only I didn’t see a friend carrying it in one of her photos. It’s just perfect and I know that even if I’m not working in a real office that it will complement most of the outfits on my closet. This bag is truly, effortlessly chic!

Prom Night Once Again

Posted by admin on Sep 7, 2010 in me, myself and i, shopping

My friends are I are planning our Christmas party. We need a theme because we want a reason to get all dressed up. I’m thinking prom night after seeing some lovely prom dresses online. We never had these during my prom! What we had were blazers and square pants that we thought so cool back then but so icky now.

So yes. That’s why I want a prom night party. Aside from the fact that it’s a great trip to memory lane, I can also wear what I want now that I have money to splurge on a nice gown. ;)

Ready for Black Friday?

Posted by admin on Sep 2, 2010 in shopping

Nothing thrills me more than the words Cyber Monday, Black Friday, Thanksgiving deals. It’s that time of the year where I can splurge without worrying about the dent on our savings. I only splurge twice a year – first either during labor day or every January where year-end sales usually happens and second during Black Friday. I shop for about almost anything – clothes for the family, electronics and gadgets, home stuff like bed sheets, lamps and kitchen sets, books, DVDs and even take advantage of online services like hosting and domain registration. The amount of savings that I get from these splurges is so huge that I do my best to restrain myself whenever I see a sale monthly. For this coming Black Friday, I’ve already made a long list of things to buy. I’m just saving up enough money now in order for me to afford what’s on my list and make the people around me very happy this Christmas.

Affordable Shopping

Posted by admin on Aug 22, 2010 in shopping

My daughters’ party is in two weeks and I badly need a new outfit. I decided to check out this web site selling closeout clothing and was surprised to see how nice the selections are. And did I mention cheap? That’s my main requirement these days but only if it doesn’t look “low-cost” on me. A very impossible feat considering the materials but I can always hope.

I saw some nice peep-toe wedges too which will I’m sure will look great on skinny jeans and some of my summer dresses. And yes, they are dirt cheap.  This fact usually makes me excited but after several bad experiences with affordable footwear, I’m a little worried if paying less would only cause blisters on my feet. We shall see!

Shopping For Footwear

Posted by admin on Aug 7, 2010 in shopping

Oh man! Guess what I got from the mail today? An email from a friend alerting me about shoebuy coupons. I am trying not to spend money until September but with these hard to resist coupons, I may just give in. After all, I really need new pairs of shoes after growing a half of an inch on my shoe size because of the pregnancy. I’ve been dying to get a pair of REVA ballerina flats but since the budget is limited, I’ll have to settle for something that doesn’t cost a two-week’s grocery. ;) I will post here my options as soon as I’m done browsing through the site.

Project Dress Up

Posted by admin on Aug 2, 2010 in fashion, shopping

The first thing that I will do as soon as I get back into shape is to shop for new clothes. I’ve already lost 30lbs upon giving birth but still need to lose 15lbs more. These dresses from Forever21 will inspire me to eat healthy and exercise so I can finally reach  my weight goal. After all, you can’t wear any of these if you don’t have killer thighs, can you?

Nice Cigars

Posted by admin on Jul 6, 2010 in shopping

Wow, Padron cigars are really expensive. A box of 10 will set me back a total of $167 or so. I’m looking at buying a few of these to surprise my husband who has been asking me to get him some nice cigars for so long. Only I wasn’t sure which one to buy until I overheard him and his friend talking about Padron Serie 1926. Luckily, you can buy them in singles so I’ll just buy him four at $18.70 each just to see if he’ll like it. I do love the box that comes with the set though so we’ll see.

Beyond Skinny

I wonder when I can start wearing these? Just low how they make your legs look longer and thinner. I’ll need the best fat burning exercise if ever I want to fit into these by Christmas. I’m positive that I’ll lose up to 35lbs by then, thanks to breastfeeding. But to be able to wear a pair of skinnies? I don’t think so. I guess I’ll stick to bootleg types until I have reduced the size of my hips to my liking.

Save Money with Coupons

Posted by admin on Jun 19, 2010 in home, shopping, web sites

I love coupons! Why? Well, aside from the obvious reason that you can save tons of money, it’s also a great way to discover great product offerings. I’m a regular visitor of ebillme.com and my favorite section are their clothes and home everything coupons. There’s just something new each day that I can’t help but hoard the coupons for future use. Imagine being able to save $15-$30 per item which isn’t bad already but what more if you add it up with other items? I always try to stock up on bed sheets and kitchen wares so they really help me a lot in saving money. And now that we have a new baby in the family, I’m sure I’ll be hanging out on their Baby & Kids category to watch out for great discounts.
