There is such a Thing as Too Much

Posted by admin on Nov 5, 2010 in food, health, women issues

Speaking of articles, I read one that claims the woman lost 12 pounds in 48 hrs. Wow. How unhealthy is that? ROFL. Seriously, there’s no way you can lose weight that fast without serious health issues. We all want the the fastest way to burn fat but it’s also important to read the fine print. Besides, it’s already proven plenty of times that whenever you lose weight quickly, you can easily get them back twice as fast. These type of diet plans are acceptable if you are trying to squeeze into your gown in a few months or weeks but for long term weight loss, exercise and healthy diet are still the best way.

Fit N’ Right

Posted by admin on Nov 4, 2010 in health

An article about hoodia reviews is the first thing that I saw upon logging in to Facebook today. As expected, it’s from my cousin who is doing her best to lead a healthy life. She encourages everyone to be Vegan just like her by refraining from eating meat and poultry. I want to try, for the sake of it but just thinking about living without steak is a bit depressing. If there’s one good thing about her lifestyle change, it would be that she’s never looked so good. Her skin is clear and her muscles are now toned thanks to her running every 6am in the morning. If only we could all be like that but as I always say, it’s easier when you don’t have two kids wanting your attention 24/7.

Almost There

Posted by admin on Nov 2, 2010 in health, women issues

Chanced upon some lipofuze reviews and the first thought that came to my mind is – now there’s one thing that will be useless to me. I was being smug, yes. But who wouldn’t be when you wake up in the morning and suddenly, you’re only three pounds heavier than your pre-pregnancy weight. I should be celebrating but I want to give it a few days before I can verify if it’s really my current weight or I just got lucky today. If it’s true, I’ll do my best to eat right and start walking again. This way, I’ll be back to my old size even before my target date, which is Christmas day.

Hurray for Weight Loss

Posted by admin on Oct 19, 2010 in health, me, myself and i, women issues

I don’t care about effective diet pills anymore thanks to my recent weight loss. Based from last weigh in, I only have to lose 6 more pounds then I’ll be back to my pre-pregnancy shape. After losing about 45 pounds in 3 months, I thought losing the last 6 will be easy. But as it turns out, it’s always harder to shake off the last pounds. Not when I’m feeling confident that I’ve started eating cakes, plates of rice and tons of sugar-laden snacks. It’s all good though. If I lose 1lb a  month, I will still meet my weight goal by the time my baby turns one next year. To celebrate, I will go shopping for new jeans this coming December. I wasn’t going to shop until I get my figure back. But now that I’m near the finish line, most of my early pregnancy/ post-pregnancy clothes are just too loose for me that I will look even more pregnant if I continue to wear them.

Too Old for His Age

Posted by admin on Oct 10, 2010 in health, me, myself and i

We all know that popping zit can only make it worse. But whenever I tell my husband that, he looks at me as if I’m speaking in another language. And now he whines when he’s in front of the mirror and sees how haggard he looks. I hope he’ll listen to me and that he’ll follow my advice to cleanse-tone-moisturize every night. It’s not as tedious as it sounds really. The results are amazing and if he combines it with a straight 8-hour sleep, I’m sure his skin will be restored in no time. While he’s at it, he really needs to stop worrying about the problems of the world because it shows on his face.

Genetic Skin Problems

Posted by admin on Oct 8, 2010 in health, me, myself and i, women issues

If ever I find myself facing acne problems, I will not put anything on my skin unless it’s a natural acne treatment. I don’t want to ruin my already problematic skin by putting foreign products on my face. You never know what could happen. In fact, even if I’m just using a moisturizer for maintenance, I still experience breakouts whenever I try something new. I hope my daughters will inherit my skin and its capacity to resist pimples and acne. I believe I got it from my mom who up to now, still reminds me to cleanse-tone-moisturize. She still looks like my older sister so I know her regimen is fail-proof.

Food Battle

Posted by admin on Oct 7, 2010 in health, me, myself and i

I’ve been reading about epiduo reviews for an article that I’m working on since 2PM. It’s time for me have a snack but after all those reading, I just find that I have no appetite at all. So I guess it’s a good thing. After all, I’m saving myself at least 500-700 calories by not indulging with my daily ham sandwich. My worry is that I’d be so hungry by dinner that I will eat not just 700 calories but 1000 more due to skipping meals. What a small problem, I agree. But when you’re my age, it’s always a struggle to keep the pounds off. I vow that I’ll never let myself go, just like many people I know. Yet I still want to enjoy food as it is one of my greatest passions in life. This is why I am now hooked with portion control / calorie counting.

Eat, Pray, Love

Posted by admin on Sep 20, 2010 in food, health

We always tease our skinny friend about her ability to eat like a horse and never gain weight. She told us she’s actually considering taking weight gain supplement because according to her last wellness check up, she’s already underweight. It’s refreshing to see a woman who’s doing her best to gain more pounds.

Anyway, I love eating out with her because she loves food as much as I do! There’s nothing more boring than dining with someone who only eats a salad without dressing and black coffee. If you can eat a steak just like the one below without worrying about tomorrow, then you’ll be my instant best friend.

On Natural Supplements

Posted by admin on Sep 13, 2010 in health

I wonder if natural diet supplements are indeed natural? A breastfeeding mom was asking me how she can lose weight and she mentioned about natural diet pills. I told her directly not to even consider it because who knows what kind of ingredients are there that could harm the baby. If she’s really serious in losing weight, I told her to enroll herself in a yoga or hip-hop class. But if she’d rather take pills, then better stop nursing. Her decision will show which is more important to her. I’m glad she chose to wait for six more months before trying anything. After all, she might lose weight from breastfeeding if she combine it with eating healthy foods.

Skin Guru

Posted by admin on Sep 9, 2010 in health, women issues

If I have to read one more acne product review, I’ll go crazy. My friend keeps bugging me to read these articles with her and help her decide which one will be perfect for her skin. We both know that just because one product worked with someone doesn’t mean it will work on her. So she’s so confused and scared to try but her wedding is in a few months so she’s obviously obsessed in having a clear skin as well. I really wish I could help  her but the only way we can tell is if she tries at least the top three on her list. She still has a long way to go so I doubt one skin breakout won’t be that bad. That is, if she ever finds one that will not make her acne look worse than they already are.
