All Insured

Posted by admin on Aug 17, 2010 in health, home, money matters

Just received three term life insurance quotes online for my parents via email. I’m so glad the Internet was discovered or else I’d still be visiting several agencies just to get a simple quote. Now all I need to do is compare all of the benefits and hopefully make a decision before the year ends. They are all surprisingly affordable but I’m still weighing in the advantages of getting a full term. I would’ve gotten a full term if only I wasn’t still paying for my two daughters’ pension plans and our car insurance. We got so many obligations annually that I don’t count out Christmas bonuses anymore knowing most of them will go to our insurance anyway. But I’m not complaining as I know that it’s all for the family’s sake.

28 Lbs and Counting

Posted by admin on Jul 7, 2010 in health, me, myself and i

I’m so happy to note that I lost a total of 28 lbs! After giving birth, I wasn’t sure if I can go back to my old shape. If basing on my current weight loss for the past 12 days however, it’s looking good! And I’m not even trying to diet or anything!

I just need to do some really serious lower ab workout to lose the flabs on my stomach. I know that one will not go away unless I do something about it. If I get lucky, I may be shopping for new outfits before the year ends!

Still on HGH

Posted by admin on Jun 21, 2010 in health, home

Speaking of hgh supplements, my mother-in-law who is a fan of all kinds of supplements just bought a new range of products from her favorite supplier. She also gave me a short lesson on how our body needs HGH now that we’re not getting any younger. Some of the things I learned about HGH supplements: (or at least the ones that registered to me)

- Reduce excess body fat
- Reduce wrinkles, signs of aging
- Increase muscle mass
- Stimulate growth of internal organs
- Stimulate the immune system

This is unlike those hgh injections that have been banned by FDA due to very bad side effects and was originally designed for AIDS patients, children who can’t produce enough HGH and adults with HGH deficiency caused by sugery and radiation.

Supplements Anyone?

Posted by admin on Jun 20, 2010 in health, home, web sites

All kinds of supplement reviews are posted in the Internet today. I’m not sure which one to believe anymore as they could be recommending products of those who can pay for advertisement. I still think that the best place to look for a reliable review is through forums and blogs. These reviews are written by real people who have tried the product themselves. I for one frequent parenting and forums for women whenever I want to get an opinion for something that I want to buy. It’s also a great place to learn new things or find alternatives that you’ve never heard about.

Colon and Health

Posted by admin on Jun 19, 2010 in health

No matter how much convincing I did, my father just can’t see the benefit of colon cleanse. Flushing away pounds of waste and toxins doesn’t mean anything to him, nor does improving digestive system or increasing energy levels. He’s as stubborn as anyone in his age can get. I guess he’ll only try something new if one of his peers have tried it as well. Would you believe that at his age, he’s still afraid to step inside a hospital? The good news is he’s now trying to eat healthy. No more fattening and salty foods for him, just some lean meat and mostly green veggies. I told him not to fry his food anymore so he’s now into steamed or grilled. I couldn’t take the credit of course. He probably just saw an episode from Home & Health network that made him want to try a different lifestyle.

On Disability Aid

Posted by admin on Jun 9, 2010 in health

Need to apply for a disability appeal? I’ve been reading a lot about people getting denied when applying for their disability benefits. If this happens to you or your loved one, you might want to check out Allsup, a company that offers assistance in getting you the disability benefits that you deserve. With their experience of 26 years, your odds of getting approved are higher than if you do the processing alone. You don’t need to pay unless they were able to obtain a social security disability benefit for you. And get it they will, according to the 98% of the people who completed the SSDI process with them.

Losing Post-Pregnancy Weight

Posted by admin on Jun 9, 2010 in entertainment, health, me, myself and i

After reading several lipozene reviews, I’m now feeling positive that I have something to fall back on if ever I don’t lose my pregnancy weight in my allotted time. I wish I can be like those celebrity moms who just shed off pounds so easy. They can show off their new curves down the red carpet in a matter of weeks after giving birth! Of course, there’s no such thing as a magic formula, everyone has to sweat it or spend thousands of dollars on trainers or body treatments. They’re just lucky that they have the money and the connection to the right people that can make them meet their weight loss goals faster than mere mortals like us. If you’re curious, check out some of how some of the celeb moms lost their weight below:

Gisele Bundchen
During the later part of her pregnancy she kept fit doing kung fu and yoga. After her son Benjamin was born she just did “yoga on a mat in her living room.” But now she’s getting a bit more of a work out. She was recently spotted leaving a dance workout class in Los Angeles and working up a good sweat in the process.

Heidi Klum
To get her in shape for the Victoria Secrets show that she hosted soon after giving birth to her fourth child, Heidi relied on the help of a trainer. She said that her trainer was, “helping me so I don’t overdo it. I’ve been walking on the treadmill. Walking up and down the driveway. She has a medicine ball so she showed me things on there. You can’t do too much too early.”

Jessica Alba
Jessica worked with the acclaimed Hollywood trainer Ramona Braganza using her 321 Baby Bulge Be Gone Plan. This plan included elliptical and treadmill work, which Jessica did at home. She soon was able to also add in her core exercises, cardio and circuit training.

Halle Berry
Halle also opted to use Ramona Braganza’s 321 Baby Bulge Be Gone Plan as well as the treadmill, Halle did one hour workouts that include three segments of cardio, two segments of weights, and one segment of core work.

Jennifer Lopez
JLO reportedly spent a whole $50,000 on a home gym to get her back in shape after having her twins. She hired a personal trainer and Jennifer woke up at 4am to work out for three hours, seven days a week. Now that’s some commitment right there!

Our Own Water Filter

Posted by admin on Jun 6, 2010 in health

Ten years ago, drinking tap water wasn’t considered dangerous. Now with all kinds of diseases sprouting from food, water and air, a stock of filtered water is just necessary. This is why I’m looking at getting a water filter pitcher so we can stop ordering from the local supplier. With our very own water filter at home, we can save costs and drink healthy water whenever we want.

On Life and Insurance

Posted by admin on Apr 28, 2010 in health, money matters

The life insurance rate lately are so amazing I can’t help but want to get another one now that a new baby is on the way. Also, we were trying to save when my husband and I got our first policy so we made a compromise that he’ll get the better package while I’ll just upgrade mine when he’s done paying with his. That was five years ago and now that we’ve finished all our payables, I think it’s high time to get my benefits filled and feature-packed policy. I believe we can afford to get another one because my daughter’s educational plan has already been paid in full too. To be honest, we have so many policies that our kids will be in good hands if something bad happened to us.

Bad Mommy

Posted by admin on Apr 27, 2010 in health, me, myself and i

I always forget to take my prenatal vitamins. I even put it near my laptop just so it will be the first thing that I’ll see when I log in at work. However, as soon as I see it, I wonder if I’ve taken one already and that if I did, how much damage it will cause if I take one again. Guilt is really creeping in because I wasn’t this careless on my firstborn. Not that I don’t care, it’s just that there’s too much going on that taking care of myself has always been the least on my mind. I should remember that it’s not for me but for the baby inside me. Starting tomorrow, I’ll put the calendar near my bottle of vitamins and will make sure to check the date as soon as I take one pill.
