Saddle Oxford

Posted by admin on Jan 24, 2012 in fashion, me, myself and i

I am giddy with excitement! After unsuccessful attempts at acquiring the right pair of brogues / oxfords (out of stock, too big, too expensive, style not right), I finally found a cheaper alternative. It’s not only cheaper but it’s the actual look that I’ve been wanting to buy for the longest time. It all started when I saw the movie Lolita, remember her saddleshoes? They are all I can think about and when I couldn’t find a similar pair, I continued to hope and later on settled on other kinds. But now …. thanks to Payless, I got my dream shoes. Check it out below. I hope it’s comfortable so I can wear it everyday. :)

Brogues for Christmas

Posted by admin on Dec 22, 2011 in fashion, me, myself and i, shopping

Check out my shoes for Christmas. I haven’t bought them  yet but my husband gave me the go signal to purchase IF they can find my size.

It’s going to be his gift for me (yes, we choose our own gifts) which made me too thrilled for words. Now that I know that these are within reach, I’m wondering if this is the right choice or should I go for the new ones – Shibuya and Florence?

Help me!

Fab and Fit Maternity Wear

Posted by admin on Nov 11, 2011 in fashion, me, myself and i, shopping

Traditional and matronly maternity clothes are a thing of the past. Now, pregnant moms can be as fashionable as they used to be pre-pregnancy! There are even maternity clothes called transition which allows you to wear the outfit during your first trimester, upon giving birth, while breastfeeding and as a regular outfit when you’re finally back to your old size. Here’s one example while pregnant, breastfeeding and without the baby bump.

Imagine how much money you can save! I’ve hoarded items like these when I was pregnant and I’m happy to say that I can still wear some of them and I’m not back to my pre-pregnancy shape.

Girls Rock!

Posted by admin on Nov 8, 2011 in fashion, me, myself and i, shopping

We recently attended a rock star themed birthday party with my daughters. Some of my friends had a hard time deciding on what to wear but I was lucky to have several pieces that will work so I didn’t have to buy any. I just had my eldest wear her fluffy mini-skirt, tight black leggings, DM-type lace up brown boots and a jeweled purple with cropped sleeves. My youngest on the other hand wore her pink and brown leopard dress. I noticed that the mothers were wearing rock star outfits too. I was happy that none of them were over the top as some fashionable moms tend to do these days or worse, wear something like a fishnet body suit that I saw online. We could all agree that this kind of outfit is more suitable for adult parties for two (wink). Anyway, here are some really cute rock star outfits if ever you find yourself looking for one.

You can either buy these or just make one similar to them.

Glitters

Posted by admin on Oct 10, 2011 in fashion

Who knew a prom dress could look like this, ten years ago?

I was browsing through TJFormal Jovani prom dresses when I saw this piece. Now that’s one dress I would love to wear but I’m pretty sure my mother would hate. After all, she made the dress that I wore which was pretty stylish back then but looking at it right now, doesn’t really show any part of my body. Which is what I would probably do to my own daughter as well (*snickers*). But going back to the gown above, I really find it nice but perhaps a bit longer to make it more sophisticated and less trashy.

Say Goodbye to Oversized

Posted by admin on Aug 3, 2011 in fashion, shopping

I’m getting myself and the husband a pair of ray-ban sunglasses for our anniversary. He loves his Wayfarer a lot and I know he’s looking into getting an aviator as well. Not sure what colors to get yet but any of the two below will do.

Look at them rockin’ a pair of aviator glasses. So glad that there’s an alternative to the big bumblebee look.

I just finished reading a review for surface raceways and realized that I’ve been reading the same article for an hour. My eyes hurt and my creative juices are nonexistent. Before I get back to my designing tasks, I need to re-orient myself by online window shopping. This time, it’s all about comfy shoes. Let me share with you the latest collection from Anthology Shoes.

Almost Within Reach

Posted by admin on Jul 25, 2011 in fashion, money matters

A friend of mine is offering an installment plan for a Balenciaga bag that I wanted to purchase for so long. See below.

I am so tempted but then I’d rather get one of those quick payday loans than take advantage of a friend’s generosity. I know she’s just helping me acquire my dream bag but what I suddenly find that I couldn’t pay her. At least with a bank or lending company, I will be charged accordingly. But with a friend, it might result to money issues and that’s something I couldn’t live without. Anyway, I think that if I stop buying small items that are not exactly cheap, I may be able to save enough money before the year ends. As long as I don’t spend my bag fund on a last minute travel or gadget, that is.

A classic bag but with a modern twist, that’s what the latest trend in satchel bag is all about. Gone are the days when satchels are too professional or formal looking because the latest collection is all about bright colors and unique design. The thing about satchel bags today is that you can easily match it with a pair of jeans and plain shirt.

This handbag is very popular due to a number of reasons. Its size is just about perfect, not too small and not too big. You’ll be able to fit all your daily necessities in one place and still keep it organized. Versatility is also one aspect that sets it apart from the rest. You can wear it as a cross body bag for a more casual look or hang on one of your shoulder for that professional look. This is also why most women prefer this bag since they can use it both for work and other occasions.

The square shaped design also provides more room for your personal items. It is easier to find your keys or other objects without having to dig through the whole bag. For bag lovers, a satchel is a must have. And with today’s trend, it’s all about bright colors like red, orange and yellow. Search the web for the hottest designs and affordable satchels, now is the time to get your hands on one of the hottest bags this season.
