New Floors

Posted by admin on May 24, 2011 in home

I am trying to achieve this kind of laminate flooring for our master bedroom for the longest time. I know I could get discount supplies but the problem lies within finding the right contractors. I don’t want to go into what happened during our latest renovation in the kitchen but let’s just say that we learned our lesson. Not all cheap our good, especially if it shows on the workmanship.

Gifts for Men

Posted by admin on May 22, 2011 in fashion, me, myself and i, shopping

These cuff link gifts will be perfect for my friend who’s celebrating this 33rd next week. I am so lazy to look for gifts online anymore that as soon as I saw these, I added them in the cart. I would’ve gotten the superhero cuff links but I’m pretty sure his wife will not like it as much as he will. She has been urging him to dress professionally, hence the need for cuff links. So since I don’t want to cause disagreement, I will give him a gift that she will love and he can use. I’ll just add some funky socks so he will not feel too bad about dressing up like an adult.

Invitation. Check.

Posted by admin on May 20, 2011 in home, me, myself and i

Finally! I managed to accomplish one task on my to-do list. I’ve started downloading Mickey Mouse Clubhouse photos that I can use for my daughter’s birthday invitations. Her party is on June 12th so I need to distribute the invites on the last weekend of May. Luckily, most of the guests confirmed two weeks ago when I emailed them my Save the Date. I’m glad finding the right images are simple, thanks to the Internet. Of course, I made sure that the images that I will use have the proper license. I’ll be using them as a background only and will keep the focus on my daughter’s photo and styled text.

Speaking of Mickey Mouse, I found this online (it says Nicole’s Cakes) and just loved the design! I love how all the characters are present and not just Mickey. I’m definitely going to use this color scheme for our balloons and linens.

One Less Skin Problem

Posted by admin on May 16, 2011 in me, myself and i

I’m glad blackheads is not a problem for me anymore. But if you’re still one of the millions who are struggling to make them go away permanently, click on the link to learn more. I’ve used to try all sorts of homemade remedies from fruits to cooking stuff but none of them worked. Only when I got pregnant did they manage to become unnoticeable and up to know, I am still lucky to be free of them. Of course, I still have the occasional breakouts and the always present eyebags that could rival a raccoon’s eye.

Researching For Hours

Posted by admin on May 12, 2011 in work

Researching for a client today but my mind got stuck on the keywords per stirpes so I’ve decided to take a breather. Writing and researching takes a toll on my work hours and as much as possible, I’d rather stay away from it. However, the clients that I work with are usually the same clients that lets me manage everything that has to do with their online presence. It’s a packaged deal so I just do what I have to. I just need to get something to eat, a bacon sandwich perhaps then window shop for 30 minutes then I’ll be all set to research again.

Forever 21 US

Posted by admin on May 10, 2011 in online life, shopping, web sites

I’ve been to our local branch of Forever 21 and never found anything that I liked. Not even remotely close to considering buying one. I don’t know if it has to do with the stocks here but I like the items better online. Case in point:

How come we don’t have these here?

Driving Is Not For Me

Posted by admin on May 6, 2011 in me, myself and i, women issues

Thank God for roadside assistance! My friend managed to get home safely when she was stranded during last week’s storm. This is why I myself refuse to drive. NO matter how much my husband nags me, I can’t bring myself to learn. I’m too scared to get stuck in traffic, storm or any other unexpected disasters. Plus I’ve seen so many road accidents that I can’t imagine myself being the one controlling the vehicle. I know I need to learn as soon as possible, now that we have two kids that need to be taken everywhere. But for now, I’m happy to be a passenger and if there’s no driver available, we can always get a cab.

Been There. Done That.

Posted by admin on May 5, 2011 in home, me, myself and i, women issues

It’s been awhile since I’ve heard of promise ring finger. In fact, if I remember correctly, the last time I heard and used it was when I was 15. Anyway, during last week’s dinner, a friend of mine told me how she saw a ring on her 12-year-old daughter. She married young, by the way, so we are not that old yet! She was so shocked but asked in a nonchalant way what it was for and who gave it to her. When her daughter replied that it came from her boyfriend as a promise that they will get married when they turn 25, she was suddenly taken back to the time when all she did was hang out with boys and do things that will make any parent crazy. (which is why she got married young)

Right then and there, she turned into a momzilla, grounded her daughter and just basically ruin their week or months, depending on how it turns out. Now that she’s thinking clearly, she realized that she shouldn’t have acted that way. What she should’ve done was talk to her and explain that she’s too young to be thinking of such things. I couldn’t blame her though. Parenting is hard. You may think you have it all down pat but one unexpected act could make you forget what Oprah, Dr. Phil or any of those new-age celebrities preach.
