Dirt-Cheap Dream Travels

Posted by admin on Mar 28, 2011 in travel, web sites

Oh my! There are so many nice travel deals from Groupon websites lately. It’s unfortunate that they decide to come out when I have no budget left what with my youngest celebrating her first birthday and my eldest’ going to big school in two months. I am so tempted to avail an online cash advance just to hoard some of them. Most of the packages are not just affordable but they are for destinations that I can only reach in my dreams. Okay, maybe not in my dreams but only if ever I have tons of extra cash. There’s one in Misibis Bay – Bicol (about $600 savings), El Nido beach getaway in Palawan ($480 savings) and Asya Boracay ($300-400 discount). Personalized It

Posted by admin on Mar 26, 2011 in shopping, web sites

Thank God fir unique personalized wedding gifts! I know exactly what to get for my soon-to-be-married friends who hated just about anything that was mass produced. It’s a toss between the beverage stand for all their outdoor parties or this key holder and “live, love, laugh” frame with their last name on it, making it personalized. I know I’d be happy to receive this myself. These friends of mine are into eclectic stuff so I’m sure any of the two will be a great addition to their wonderful home.

    The grass is always greener

Posted by admin on Mar 16, 2011 in work, work at home jobs

I see a lot of management jobs which makes me wonder if I should go out and look for a corporate job. I do love working from home and the flexibility and convenience but face it, there’s a small chance of ever climbing the corporate ladder. I miss being promoted almost every year. The taste of success is similar to acquiring a designer bag at a very good price (for me, at least). Yet I’m not sure if in the long run, I would crave for the same position that I’m in right now. Waking up late to work because I don’t have to travel, being with the kids 24/7 and yet still be able to earn money and choosing when to work the whole day. Most of the time, you can’t have everything that you want.

    Birth Celebrations

Posted by admin on Mar 14, 2011 in entertainment, home

I love receiving baby shower invitations. Aside from the cards being too cute for words, I always feel honored whenever I am asked to share a special occasion such as baby showers, birth and baptism. So it’s no surprise that I am designing one for a friend who’s about to give birth next month. Of course, she has no idea that we are throwing a party for her. We are all keeping it hush-hush. I’m sure she has an idea because they did throw one for me as well. Still, even if she does know that we’re cooking something, she wouldn’t know where or when. Her husband, which is also a dear friend of mine will be taking her to dinner and when they come home, she will be welcomed with balloons, little booties stringed together and plenty of smiling faces. I can’t wait!

    Price of Beauty

Posted by admin on Mar 9, 2011 in fashion, me, myself and i, women issues

A friend of mine takes an acne pill daily to control her skin breakouts. It’s a bit expensive but she’s so used to it that she doesn’t mind the expense anymore. In fact, it’s already included in her monthly budget so she will actually save money if she stopped taking one. Anyway, the reason why I’m blogging about this is women will do all kinds of stuff to be beautiful. Whether it’s for acne, losing weight, hair extension or plastic surgery, it’s not uncommon for a woman to spend a lot of money to get her desired effect. As for me, I don’t spend a lot on beauty products / maintenance but that’s just because I don’t have the budget. If I’m as financially comfortable as some of my friends are, I’d have my own dermatologist as well and undergo several body treatments.

    Boost Your Signal

Posted by admin on Mar 8, 2011 in technology

I came across an advertisement – wilson cell booster canada and got curious since my cousin in Canada always complains about their lack of network coverage. They are far from cheap but for places with very weak cellphone signals, I think this is a great investment. After all, being disconnected from the outside world can be liberating for one or two weeks. But if you plan on staying / living in that area for years to come, it’s important to have a decent connection both for work and emergency situations.

    A Beach Getaway

Posted by admin on Mar 5, 2011 in travel

Summer is just around the corner. Usually, we go on two out of town trips but since I was so busy tending to the baby and working at the same time, I didn’t get to book anything for our summer vacation. I’m looking at properties similar to Outer Banks beach rentals because not only the whole clan can fit in one of those, but you can also bring all kinds of food and entertainment without paying a huge corkage fee. Of course, there’s the advantage of housekeeping if you stay in a hotel. But we’d rather bring our own helpers so everyone in the family can join the fun without worrying about paying for extra people.

    A Hint of Skin

Posted by admin on Mar 2, 2011 in fashion, health

People are tweeting about adapexin-p today so naturally, I got curious and checked it out. After all, it never hurts to be updated. According to the web site, it can help you lose 10lbs in 28 days. Pretty amazing if you need to fit into a dress or show off a new body just in time for summer. With that said, I would recommend a thorough research before trying anything. Speaking of summer, check out below my top 3 coverups from VS.

Who says you can’t look sexy when covered?
