Space Saver Fans

Posted by admin on Nov 24, 2010 in home, web sites

For Christmas, we’re thinking of shopping for ceiling fans as a gift for my mother-in-law. I overheard her talking to the cleaning lady how she never has enough space in her office. I know one of the culprit is her huge industrial fan so if we can take that away, the space will be enough for a new set of bookshelves. I know it doesn’t seem like a great holiday gift but after giving her presents that she never uses for the past five years, we know a ceiling fan is something that she will truly appreciate. Best of all, there are tons of really quality but affordable fans from American Home Plus that we may have to shop some for our rooms too.

Real Women with Curves

Posted by admin on Nov 22, 2010 in fashion, women issues

These women certainly have no need for fat burner. They embrace their body types so well that they just look amazing! Imagine the freedom it can give you if you don’t have to count every little calorie that you take in. Not that I’m encouraging everyone to overeat. But it gets too much when you see women eating like birds just because they can’t do with a few pounds. With this kind of body, you can be sure that the kids who look up to you will never feel bad about their bodies.

All He Wants for Christmas

Posted by admin on Nov 21, 2010 in shopping, technology

image … is a PS3. As if it’s something cheap that I can easily buy it with my too many to count extra cash. Not! Guess he’ll just have to wait for Black Friday and bribe one of our friends to get it for him. I heard the long lines will be much brutal this year plus the weather hasn’t been cooperating for the last few days.

Still, I’m keeping my fingers crossed that our cousin will get a good deal and not only that, that he may be able to grab one of the $89-wort DS Lites from Walmart’s Local ad. That is, if he’s not planing to buy one for his daughter. I was told you can only get one item per person which totally sucks as I’m planning to sell some laptops to my friends.

Skin Care For All Ages

Posted by admin on Nov 20, 2010 in women issues

Oh! The wonders of anti wrinkle creams. Just saw my aunt via webcam and she looks like she’s on her 30s! I know I should’ve used one on my 20′s just like my mom told me. But anyway, I think I still have plenty of time to take care of my skin. Even when I’m too tired to wash my face at night, I try my best to still cleanse, tone and moisturize. And when there are times that I find it too much work, a pinch of eye cream at least will do. All the hard work pays off anyway. I could see that my skin is glowing and that I don’t look too sleep-deprived anymore even if that’s so far from reality.

Gift Cards

Posted by admin on Nov 17, 2010 in online life, technology, web sites

An idea occurred to me this morning. Instead of buying gifts for my friends overseas, I’ll just get them online gift cards. The choices are unlimited – from Dell, Zappos, Amazon, JC Penney, Foot Locker and many more! I should’ve thought of this sooner. I know I would personally love to get one so I can shop for what I really want.

I checked the DELL cards and they have $25, $50, and $100 denominations that you can use for cash back on laptops, desktops, printers and other electronics. This will be perfect for my cousin who just graduated.

Breakfast at Tiffany’s

Posted by admin on Nov 15, 2010 in me, myself and i, shopping

I know I’m not going to have a diamond tennis bracelet anytime soon so I’m settling for something more affordable. I’ve always wanted to buy an item from Tiffany but every time I have money / save enough to buy one, another nice thing comes up. It’s hard when you have limited source of income. You can’t buy them all. You always need to choose between gadgets, jewelry, handbags or travel. Not that I always have extra money lying around. This is just for those few moments when I want to treat myself for bagging an unexpected project.

But I digress. Here are some of the gift items under $100 from Tiffany.

The Boombox

Posted by admin on Nov 13, 2010 in home

Wow. I didn’t know portable radios are now cheap! When I was in high school, it was my dream to have one so I can bring it to school and use it for our dance rehearsals. Only it was too expensive back ten and there aren’t too many options. Now, aside from portable ones, you can use iPods or any MP3 players, plug in a speaker and voila! Instant sound system whether you’re in a small party or a school production. Kids are really lucky these days as they have access to technology without having to put a dent on their (or their parents’) wallet.s

Holiday Outfit

Posted by admin on Nov 11, 2010 in fashion, shopping

Shopping time once again! I just received half of my December earnings so I’m treating myself with new outfits and perhaps some shoes from Tory Burch. It’s hard to shop for women’s dresses online because you can never know how they fit you until they arrive at your doorstep. Which is why I only buy from stores that I’ve tried. Starting the last week of November, we’ll be attending parties left and right so stocking up on new clothes is a must.

On my list are these:
