It’s the start of October so naturally, my mother-in-law is getting busy renovating/re-doing some parts of her house. This year, she wants to shop the two medicine cabinets for her bedroom and the guest room. I showed her these from American Home and know she would love them only if her room has that modern/contemporary look.
Aside from that, she wants to re-do the terrace area and build another stone garden. I don’t know how she’ll manage to finish all that, what with the rainy season looming in. But I understand her excitement. These projects are so much fun especially if you have a huge budget.

My husband couldn’t stop watching this show about ATV Parts and it’s all I can do not to sleep while pretending I’m interested. The thing is we’ve decided to show interest on each other’s activities as much as we can. Which means I’ll have to listen to him rave about his favorite F1 team (which isn’t hard at all as I love F1), stay with him while he window shop for gym equipments (a bit boring) and pretend there’s something cool about cars, motor repairs and UFC (just painful on my part). Of course, he’ll also pretend he understands America’s next top model, Project Runway or even Gossip Girl while he makes an effort to say the right words whenever I shop for clothes and shoes.

We always tease our skinny friend about her ability to eat like a horse and never gain weight. She told us she’s actually considering taking weight gain supplement because according to her last wellness check up, she’s already underweight. It’s refreshing to see a woman who’s doing her best to gain more pounds.
Anyway, I love eating out with her because she loves food as much as I do! There’s nothing more boring than dining with someone who only eats a salad without dressing and black coffee. If you can eat a steak just like the one below without worrying about tomorrow, then you’ll be my instant best friend.
Yum!

I’ve always had a thing for vintage. Which is why when I saw these, I just knew I have to unearth my old stuff. Gilded gold, layered necklace, lacey top, lace-up boots, cropped jacket. The only thing that I don’t have are ripped skinnies and I’ll be all set.

I wonder if natural diet supplements are indeed natural? A breastfeeding mom was asking me how she can lose weight and she mentioned about natural diet pills. I told her directly not to even consider it because who knows what kind of ingredients are there that could harm the baby. If she’s really serious in losing weight, I told her to enroll herself in a yoga or hip-hop class. But if she’d rather take pills, then better stop nursing. Her decision will show which is more important to her. I’m glad she chose to wait for six more months before trying anything. After all, she might lose weight from breastfeeding if she combine it with eating healthy foods.

I was searching what thermogenesis means but got distracted with this oh-so-beautiful bag from Mulberry. Who wants to read about metabolism and fat cells when you can oggle this beauty instead? I’ve been hearing about them from my online friends but it’s only now that I got a chance to actually look at it. I can’t afford it just yet but I could just see myself wearing it. I love how you can use it as a messengers bag or carry it in the crook of your arm.
Mulberry Alexa – Grape Soft Buffalo
I wouldn’t love it as much if only I didn’t see a friend carrying it in one of her photos. It’s just perfect and I know that even if I’m not working in a real office that it will complement most of the outfits on my closet. This bag is truly, effortlessly chic!

Thank God I have one less thing to worry about myself. Upon close inspection in the mirror today, I’m happy to note that my face is very clear. My two-week daily skin regimen worked! No need for blackhead treatment anymore. All I need to do is continue with my beauty regimen and try my best not to be overly confident that I’ll be too lazy again to apply them twice a day.
Now that that’s settled, time to worry about my expanding thighs and non-existent waist. The problems never cease when you’re a woman.

If I have to read one more acne product review, I’ll go crazy. My friend keeps bugging me to read these articles with her and help her decide which one will be perfect for her skin. We both know that just because one product worked with someone doesn’t mean it will work on her. So she’s so confused and scared to try but her wedding is in a few months so she’s obviously obsessed in having a clear skin as well. I really wish I could help her but the only way we can tell is if she tries at least the top three on her list. She still has a long way to go so I doubt one skin breakout won’t be that bad. That is, if she ever finds one that will not make her acne look worse than they already are.

Oh my! What a great way to start my day. I opened my inbox and I got a few spam comments about a male enhancement product. I know I’ve installed several spam plugins on my blogs but they just kept coming back. I’m pretty sure they are not automatic bots but real people doing the spamming.
On another note, after clearing all the offensive comments, I saw that a long lost friend found me through my blog. She was looking for party suppliers and accidentally clicked one of my posts about my daughter’s birthday party. She was shocked to see my face and learn that I now have two daughters. It was so good to hear from her and I can’t wait to get a reply after my long, excited email to her today.
Again, amazing what technology can do!

Yet before any of us can wear the gowns on my previous post, we all need to take weight loss pills that work. Not those type that supposedly worked on celebrities but the real kind that works on normal people. Celebrities have all the help they need – expensive personal chef, work-out buddies / trainers, plastic surgeons and what not. It’s no surprise that they can lose weight easily and give credit to a diet pill so they can get endorsement. OR better yet, we could all make a pact to lose weight the healthy way. No pills, no diets, no protein shakes or supplements. Just plain eating healthy and working out. Now that’s a great project before Christmas!
