I want to look into term life insurance for my parents. I’ve already received a few term life insurance quotes and they seem to be exactly what we need. Aside from that, I need a health package for them as well. Luckily, my brother’s company mentioned about the possibility of including both of my parents in his coverage. I hope they can because it will be a great benefit for all of us. As we get older, hospital visits will become a regular routine and with a health insurance, we can save a lot of money even if it’s just the simplest check up.
So glad I went ahead and bought an allergy relief before we went on a trip last weekend. My daughter was bitten by an unknown bug and it swelled immediately. I wouldn’t be worried if she didn’t start sneezing afterwards. After her usual dose of allerkid (allergy meds), I applied a thin coat of the allergy lotion which stopped the swelling and itchiness immediately. Now that I’m a mom, I feel like one of those first-aiders in high school. Our travel bag always has a smaller verion filled with all kinds of meds, ointments, plasters, band-aids and bug repellants.
The husband wants a new home theater now that we can use the 2nd smaller bedroom in the house. I checked Shopwiki on what they can recommend and found that most of them are way beyond our budget. An alternative is to just buy one of those affordable DVD players available in the Internet like Toshiba ($29.99-$75), Haier ($39.60-$60) and Sony ($22.49-$124) to name a few.
Portable DVD players are another option especially when we’re on the road. At least with a portable, he can watch movies at home and yet be able to bring his or our daughter’s movies with us when we travel.
Going back to Shopwiki’s buying guide, I find it really helpful how you can filter the selections by brand, by color, by price and by store. That way, you don’t have to scroll through hundreds of items just to find what you need. And in this guide is where I saw a huge listings of LCD TVs. I really want a 32″ LCD TV or bigger in the next few months. We rarely go out to watch a movie in the cinema so having our own “home theater” no matter if it’s just DIY would be a great addition.
We just had a garage sale last week so I’m feeling so light and cleansed right now. Money-wise, it wasn’t that successful. We have so many little items that should’ve been sold higher but because we just want to get rid of all of them, we sold them as cheap as we could. My daughter was so happy to join and she even pretended to have a barcode scanner just like what she used to do when she’s playing grocery time. I was proud to see her let go of almost half of her toys so we can have room for the new baby. Because of the sale, we now have a small extra room wherein we will place a new single bed, my husband’s TV and DVD player, PS2 and other gadgets. It will serve as our playarea room whenever the baby and I need to sleep without interruption.
I am starting to hate Twitter and Flickr. Because of my online friends’ addiction to bags, I’m starting to get addicted too! Not that I can afford these (YET) but they are just so lovely to look at.
The colors are so yummy you can wear them with any simple outfit and you’d still look fab!
My brother asked if we can get a life insurance quote for our father who’s nearing 60 next month. According to my research, chances are the premiums will be way too high. It’s the same for health insurance as well but thanks to his company, they are willing to extend the coverage up to my father. Bless them if they’re really willing to do this for him. Benefits like this are the reason why people stay at a company even if they are being offered a higher salary by another firm. Anyway, I really hope we can find a cheaper package so we can enroll our parents. Hospital bills are tremendously high that no matter how many times we get salary raises, the bills get more expensive as well.
Sometimes I can’t believe it when people tell me they don’t have credit cards. It’s not that they never had one, it’s either they prefer to pay in cash or banks refuse to give them one anymore. Anyway, if you’re one of the latter and banks keep on rejecting your application, you can take advantage of credit cards for bad credit that some companies offer. I believe the interest rates are higher but at least, with a credit card, you can avail of the 0% discounts that are being offered for appliances, gadgets or other big ticket items. This is good news if you think you can handle having a credit line again but for those who are impulsive shoppers but have no capability to pay, perhaps you should think twice lest you get buried in debt.
Looking for supplements to help you lose weight – click here. This link will take you to a site called SupplementCritic.com. What they do is provide comprehensive reviews on the top supplements that are available in the market. They developed a system of reviewing the products with the aid or three key components – effectiveness, speed of results and value.
I haven’t tried any of the products mentioned so I couldn’t guarantee their effectiveness. However, sites like SupplementCritic should be able to help you narrow down your choice. Like I always say when buying health-related products, always research until your eyes hurt. From reviews, articles, blogs and forums – do what you can to find out if there’s one bad review among the too many raves.
Talking about hemorrhoids makes me feel icky but with two relatives who constantly have to endure this problem, there’s just no escape. I didn’t know how bad or painful it can be until I heard them discuss it in detail with me within hearing distance. They avoid lots of foods that might trigger it but never really tried any treatments. So when I saw a web site about hemorrhoid relief, I can’t help but share it to them. For only $10-$15, you can have all-natural treatments that provide superior relief, a calming effect to reduce discomfort and quick aid in removing the cause. Good luck to them, that’s all I can say.
