Invitations Holidays

Only two more months before Christmas! Have you started with your Christmas Holiday Invitations? December can be pretty hectic that Christmas party invitations pour in as early as the first week of November. This will help people in managing their social calendars by saving the date or RSVP-ing.

But before anything else, let’s not forget about Halloween. My friends and I celebrate this yearly complete with costumes, games and trick or treating. And since I’m the resident designer, they asked me to create the Halloween party invitations. Like I have all these extra time in my hands, what with design projects left and right.

We don’t have to worry though, thanks to Announcements-Shoppe. Their website which can be found at http://www.announcements-shoppe.com provide unique holiday invitation designs at a very affordable rate. You can personalize them with your own words / photos then view it using their instant preview feature. No mistakes, just beautiful invites.

TCP #9: Harry Potter

Posted by admin on Oct 5, 2009 in entertainment, movie

Welcome to the October 6th edition of Tuesday Couch Potatoes, where we post about a movie each week. This week’s theme is Fantasy Adventure. If you love elves, orcs, talking animals, and Middle Earth, never before seen worlds, heroes that only come alive in your dreams, and of course, happy endings, then come join us this Tuesday! It’s fun!

image I love Fantasy movies and I could name at least twenty on top of my head. There’s LOTR, Chronicles of Narnia, Stardust to name a few. However, since we only need to choose one, I’d say nothing can beat the Harry Potter series. I’ve never really liked the movie until my daughter started showing interest. To think she was only two and a half years old that time. She enjoys watching The Sorcerer’s Stone and Chamber of Secrets but can also stand the scarier ones like Prisoner of Azkaban and Goblet of Fire. She knows all the characters, scenes, dialogues and musical score.

If I have to pick one from the series, it would be Goblet of Fire. I love how Voldemort finally appeared and that you can feel that the battle is about to start. What I also like about HP is that the hero is very good at what he does. The main character is usually weak at first and always had to be saved by his friends / protectors. But not Harry, from the first book to 7th, he was always the one who ends up killing the villain.

Too bad the next two movies – Order of the Phoenix, Half-Blood Prince were half-baked for me.

Shopping For a New Phone

Posted by admin on Oct 4, 2009 in money matters, online life, shopping, technology

Nothing can excite me the way a good online shopping deal can. The savings you can get from coupon codes and weekly sales are huge that you’d never want to shop anywhere else again. For my Christmas present, I was looking to upgrade my phone to any kind of Blackberry. And just my luck, I found plenty of Cellular Factory coupons from the Coupon Trunk website.

image With so many options to choose from, I now have no idea what to get. I’ve always wanted a Nokia N97 but the Blackberry that I want is just much cheaper even after the discounts. I may have to test both phones this weekend at our local mall before deciding on anything. At least, my Cellular Factory coupons can guarantee that I’m getting the best deal whatever my choice will be.

Itchy Fingers

Posted by admin on Oct 2, 2009 in freelancing, me, myself and i, shopping

I am itching to shop online! Can someone please stop me? I kept getting these unexpected projects and whenever I finish and get paid, all I can think about is where to spend them. I should be saving all of them so we can pay off the loan we took two months ago. I promised myself it will be fully paid before the year ends but I honestly didn’t know I may be able to actually do it. I should probably treat ourselves by spending 30% of my earnings and save the other 70%. It’s definitely a win-win situation no matter where you look. We can still save money without depriving ourselves.

But while writing this, I realized I may be overthinking this a bit. I’m still high from getting all these projects and might have to wait for the urge to spend to die down before buying anything.
