I’ve heard and read about how some people are having problems getting their social security disability benefits in the US. It’s sad to know that you can’t get help when you need it the most. Imagine not being able to work because of your disability and still have one or two other mouths to feed. It’s one of the most miserable and frustrating thing that can happen to anyone. But thanks to companies like Allsup.com, plenty of people with disabilities have received their entitled SSDI benefits without problems. They have 98% success rate so far and your best bet whether you’re applying for the first time on need to appeal a denial. If you want to learn more, the SSDI Overview is the best place to start. I’ve learned a lot about SSDI just by spending 10 minutes on the allsup.com website. They don’t charge anything until they obtain Social Security disability benefits for you.

work
My life is always a work in progress. Nothing gets done 100%. Always half-baked. I am not doing it on purpose. There’s just too many stuff to do when you work from home. Not to mention the number of distractions both online and offline. But I am going to be better in managing my time. My future work depends on how many websites I can design in a month. When I multi-task, I can finish three tasks at the same time but they are almost always barely meeting the requirements. Perhaps I could try my husband’s approach and focus on one task alone. Although not as fast, at least the quality is much better. Besides, it’s always the end result that matters. It’s not like I can tell a client that the reason why his website doesn’t kick ass is because I was designing another site while working on his project.
If only I could have 36 hours a day but even if I do, I know I’d spend the first 12 just watching movies online.

technology,
work
Wow, my Internet connection blows! Here I am waking up almost filled with enthusiasm to work only to find out that my connection is crawling. I already called my provider and was advised that there’s an ongoing maintenance in our area. So I guess I have no choice but to work on projects that won’t require heavy downloading and researching. I could get started in programming the insurance quotes for a new client while waiting for the technical guys to restore my Internet.
Good thing I’ve finished watching Gossip Girl Season 2 and Grey’s Anatomy Season 5 online so I don’t feel too bad about my poor DSL speed.

web design,
web sites,
work
Tomorrow is the big day. I’m meeting up with the site owner and present what I’ve done so far. So far, nothing much. But not from lack of trying. One, the ftp logins were incorrect, two, there was no available copy that I can use for the site and three, there’s just no enough feedback. But I will do my best to troubleshoot the issues today and make it look like the site is half finished. So for my to-dos: (This is important so I’d know how productive I am)
1. Setup a sitemap using the current site’s pages.
2. Use current site’s text to populate the backpages of the site in progress.
3. Customize registration, billing and shipping forms.
4. Troubleshoot IE6. The site keeps on crashing and I’m thinking it has to do with sifrs.
5. See how easy it will be for the client to add flash elements using the content editor.
I have the whole day to do all these but I also have plenty of distractions threatening to wreck this carefully laid out schedule.

Antipasto Pasta Salad
(12 servings)
A delicious Italian-style pasta, meat, vegetable and cheese combination with a homemade dressing. It serves a crowd and is great for a picnic, celebrations, and get-togethers as well as a light meal served with bread.
Ingredients
1 pound seashell pasta
1/4 pound Genoa salami, chopped
1/4 pound pepperoni sausage, chopped
1/2 pound Asiago cheese, diced
1 (6 ounce) can black olives, drained and chopped
1 6oz. jar of chopped pimientos, drained
1 6 oz. jar of artichokes, drained and chopped coarse
1 red bell pepper, diced
1 green bell pepper, chopped
3 tomatoes, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced very fine
3 scallions, chopped
1 (.7 ounce) package dry Italian-style salad dressing mix
3/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons dried oregano
1 tablespoon dried parsley
1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
salt and ground black pepper to taste
Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Drain, and cool under cold water. In a large bowl, combine the pasta, salami, pepperoni, Asiago cheese, black olives, red bell pepper, green bell pepper, pimientos, artichokes, scallions, garlic and tomatoes. Stir in the envelope of dressing mix. Cover, and refrigerate for at least one hour.
To prepare the dressing, whisk together the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, oregano, parsley, Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper. Just before serving, pour dressing over the salad, and mix well. Enjoy!
Got it from this site.

me, myself and i,
women issues
Someone needs to start comparing the best diet pills available in the market. I’ve been teased several times since this month on my weight gain and been asked a few times if I’m pregnant. My thighs are wider and my waist is definitely bulging but that’s because I’ve been eating too many dairy and pastries. So yes, it’s a food baby. Seriously, I would like to get back into shape before my birthday next month. Not only will I be meeting several friends I haven’t seen for a long time but it should serve as a gift to myself. It’s easy to let ourselves go, you know. One minute our jeans still fit us just fine but the next thing you know, it just won’t move past your thighs.

just for fun
1. If we had no winter, I’d be very happy. I just can’t stand the cold.
2. My latest client is a perpetual astonishment.
3. If I had my life to live over, I’d buy properties left and right.
4. So much stuff to do today and I hope I can fit all of them inside of four and twenty hours.
5. If you’ve never been thrilled, then it’s a life not worth living.
6. To be interested in the changing seasons, all you have to do is live in the Philippines.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to a restful sleep, tomorrow my plans include swimming, fishing and Sunday, I want to have a very long, full body massage!
