Blog Hacking

Just a word of warning to all my blogger friends. My other blog and two other blogs that I know were hacked by this Arab website. I don’t want to mention the site here for fear that it might attract their attention. It was a very disheartening moment knowing my files will never be recovered. Luckily, I was planning to move to another hosting so I made a back up of my database and wordpress files that morning. The blog was hacked around 8PM so I only lost two to three posts.

As for the two blogs, one of them was designed by me so I immediately imagined re-coding everything from scratch. Thank God the hosting had a back up. It didn’t stop there, though. When all the sites were back up, it was hacked again by the same group, about five hours after I’m done restoring the themes. I was close to hacking them myself but I didn’t want to expose my machine to any more vulnerability. In short, we’ve all decided to move to a new hosting just in case they found a hole in the current server that we’re in.
